Rio Americano High School’s student government is proving that leadership goes beyond the classroom. On Oct. 28, the student government hosted a campus blood drive, an event fully organized and led by students dedicated to making a difference in their community.

San Juan Unified School District Superintendent Melissa Bassanelli recently received a medical diagnosis that requires her to take a medical leave of absence. During her absence, Chief of Staff Trent Allen will serve as the primary point of contact.

During the 2024-25 school year, select San Juan Unified School District teachers and students participated in a program to evaluate two generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools for students. As a result of the evaluation of these tools, San Juan Unified has purchased a license for Magic Student for grades 2 and above.
